A floor has a sub-floor of gutter-shaped metal parts bridged by a rigidly connected plate, and a second plate of pressureresistant material rigidly connected to the bridge plate. The second plate is pref. of plate gauze connected to the bridge plate and embedded with cured cast epoxy resin. The gutter-shaped parts are pref. provided by a profiled metal plate, form a continuous bottom surface at a distance from the bridge plate and hold thermally insulating material, with a further layer of the insulation sandwiched between the plate. At least the bridge plate is connected to the gutter- shaped parts by monel blind rivets. The floor is of low wt. but can support heavy loads.
