NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I and formula II. USE:Antibacterial agent. PREPARATION:For example, Streptomyces sp. No.1176 strain (FERM P-No.8135) is inoculated in a culture medium and cultured under shaking to obtain a seed. The seed is transplanted to a large-scale fermentor filled with a culture medium and cultured. The culture product is filtered under pressure in the presence of celite, the filtrate is extracted with a solvent such as butyl acetate, and the extract is concentrated. The extract is added with chloroform, etc., and developed in a silica gel column. The active fraction is concentrated to dryness, dissolved in ethyl acetate, etc., and subjected to gel-filtration with a silica gel column to obtain a fraction containing the compound of formula I and formula II. The fraction is concentrated and dried to obtain the compound of formulae I and II in powdery state. |
