PURPOSE:To improve resolution, by forming a large-sized cathode-ray tube having many small electron-gun parts and both a screen part and mask part unitedly composed corresponding to them, with the arrangement of each small electron-gun part being regulated in a specific relation. CONSTITUTION:At the rear part of a surrounding device 2 having a screen composed of split-display fluorescent screens 101-115, many neck parts are mounted, with a small electron-gun part 4 being housed in each of them, and a shadow mask 5 is arranged in a continuous shape, to compose a color cathode- ray tube. When the distance between neighboring electron-guns, GS, the distance between mutual electron beams, SG, the pitch of a shadow mask 5, PH, the edge distance between shadow mask effective opening parts, d, integer values, m,n are respectively defined, a setting-up equation is made to be GS=(m.SG/ PH){n-1)PH+d}. Therefore, with defects being removed at each area part jointed with the screen, a large-sized cathode-ray tube of good quality and high resolution can be obtained.
