PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of a Fresnel surface which requires complicated working and, at the same time, to uniformly illuminate a liquid crystal surface, by introducing the light rays of light sources into a resin plate by turning the light emitting sections of the light sources upward and refracting light led by providing an inclined section to part of the resin plate so as to increase the component of light rays in the direction of a reflecting surface. CONSTITUTION:The light rays of the light emitting sections 15 looking upward of LEDs 11 soldered to a printed substrate 2 at both ends of an acrylic plate 12 enters the acrylic plate 12 from notched sections 13 which are provided at both end sections of the acrylic plate 12 and fitted with the LEDs 11 and advances upward as shown by the arrow (e). Then the light advances downward after it is reflected by the inclined section 14 of the acrylic plate 12 above the notched section 13 and is reflected by a white silk surface 4. After the reflection, the light again advances upward as shown by the arrow (e) and illuminates a liquid crystal surface provided on the surface of the acrylic plate 12 together with the direct light shown by the arrow (f). When such a constitution is used, the light is isotropically emitted in planes parallel with the printed substrate 2 and enters into the acrylic plate 12, and then, sufficiently dispersed inside the acrylic plate 12 and, therefore, it is eliminated that part of the liquid crystal surface becomes dark, since the light emitting sections 15 are provided above the LEDs 11. |
