Method and device for debiting charge units stored in an electronic charge memory

A method is proposed which serves to debit charge units stored in an electronic charge memory. The debiting is carried out by means of an electronic control device (10) which can be connected to the charge memory (15) and which is controlled in each case by a charge pulse (GI). The charge memory (GSP) contains a plurality of memory cells (SZ1...SZ4) in which the charge readings (GS1, GS2...) determined from the last charge pulses are stored. If a further charge pulse (GI) occurs, the stored charge reading (GS1) with the oldest time ranking (t1) is overwritten by the current charge reading (GS5). An electronic comparison and correction device (25) checks the stored charge readings for the correct number sequence and corrects a number sequence identified as incorrect. The correction is carried out in such a way that a current charge reading which is incorrect or missing is determined by reducing the number of charge units of the last charge reading by one charge unit (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
