PURPOSE:To execute data transmission at high speed regardless of the difference of types of devices by connecting the video signal output terminal of the personal computer of a transmitter with the video signal input terminal of the personal computer of a transmitting destination. CONSTITUTION:The data of character, etc., to which a personal computer 1 draws onto the screen of a display device 3, are transmitted from a video signal output terminal 2 through a transmitting line 5 to the video input terminal 4 of the display device 3 in the shape of the video signal, and inputted through the video signal input terminal 13 of a transmitting line 15 and a printer 12, and a transmitting line 16 to the video signal input terminal 10 of the display device 8. When the operator of a personal computer 6 executes the operation to give a fetching instruction, said data are given through a signal line 14 to the printer 12. Thus, into the frame memory in the printer 12, the video signal inputted to a video signal input terminal 13, namely, the data of the picture drawn at the display device 8 is fetched and recorded to the recording paper.
