PURPOSE:To make possible the waste water treatment of molding sand using water glass as a binder without using a neutralizing agent such as sulfuric acid by mixing the waste water of the treatment of molding sand using a furan resin as a binder with the waste water of the treatment of the molding sand using the water glass as the binder. CONSTITUTION:Furan sand and water glass and are treated in separate eluting tanks or treated in a single eluting tank. For example, the furan sand 11 is dipped into the water supplied from a valve 3 in an acid eluting tank 1 and eluted water 9 thereof is supplied by a pump 4 into an alkali eluting tank 2 where water glass sand 12 is immersed therein. Fluted water 10 of the tank 2 is then discharged by a pump 5 to a water treatment system. The water 10 can be circulated to the tank 1 as well and may be stirred by a stirrer 6 or heated up by heating, etc. in the stage of dipping the sand into the water. The furan sand 11 and water glass sand 12 are adequately replaced through a sand feed port 7 and a sand take-out port 8 after the elution treatment.
