PURPOSE:To know the propriety of writing of the information stored in an internal memory by detecting whether or not a writing protecting means is devised to an information control device main body, and informing the operator beforehand when the protecting means is executed. CONSTITUTION:The first and second floppy disks FDD 1 and 2 are inserted and set to an information control device main body, a prescribed memory area is read and stored once into the prescribed storing area of an internal memory device 15. The information, which is read once, is written into the reading prescribed area of the floppy disk FDD again and it is decided whether or not writing can be executed. If decided that the writing can not be executed (it is detected according to the fact whether or not the protecting seal is stuck.), the information is written again, and in such a case, the information may be written to the floppy disk FDD, and therefore, the possibility of the writing is informed to the operator.
