An electrical component suitable for use as a switch or potentiometer comprises a base (1) carrying a conductor and/or resistor path over which a sliding contact may be moved by means of a rotary operating element (2). The rotary operating element (2) has a circular flange (6) with a peripheral skirt (6a) extending toward the base (1). Two radial notches (7, 8) in the flange (6) and skirt (6a) define a resilient latch member (9) which cooperates with a rigid upstanding tooth (5) formed on the base (1) to define two relative angular positions for the operating element (2) and the base (1). <IMAGE> |
