PURPOSE:To maintain a developing gap at a prescribed value to make development stable, by stretching a film with an opening across a developing section, where a recording drum and developing roller are brought close to each other, and positioning the opening to the developing section when development is performed and the non- opened section of the film on the developing section when a latent image is formed. CONSTITUTION:At the time of development, a rotating body 24 is rotationally driven by using a rotary solenoid provided on the shaft 27 of the rotating body 24 and the opening 25 of a film 26, whose one end is fixed to the rotating body 24, is positioned on a developing section, where a developing roller 21 and recording drum 28 are brought close to each other, by moving the film 26. Therefore, magnetic toner 29 carried by the developing roller 21 is magnetically attracted to the latent image forming area of the recording drum 28 and development is performed at the time of development. During a latent image forming process, in which a latent image is formed on the recording medium 28, the opening 25 is moved from the developing section, by stopping the power supply to the rotary solenoid and winding the film 26 around a rotating body 23 by moving the film 26 in the direction shown by the arrow C by utilizing the action of a returning spring provided on the shaft 30 of the rotating body 23 and the tension, etc., of the film 26 itself. |
