PURPOSE:To find the presence of an obstacle at an early stage by irradiating a visible ray corresponding to the size of a running device to the direction of intended moving and observing the reflected light by a television monitor. CONSTITUTION:Visible light is always irradiated during running to the front of the body of a running device 1 by a visible ray irradiating device 16 and a movable head 15 having irradiation ports on left and right sides and upper side to irradiate the visible ray in the direction of advance. The movable head 15 is driven by an angle controlling device 17 to make the angle same with the angle of wheel detected by a steerage angle detector 14. Accordingly, even when the course is changed, presence of an obstacle on the course in which the running device is about to advance can be noticed at an early point of time over directions of left and right, and height. |
