A telephone handset comprises a hand-held part made of flexible foamed material into which the housings which accommodate the earpiece and microphone capsule can be inserted. These housings are made of rigid foamed material and completely enclose the earpiece and microphone capsule except for the sound apertures. The inside of the hand-held part contains a strengthening support.
