PURPOSE:To provide a liquid jet recording head having stable emitting characteristics and rich in reliability, by constituting a cover lid plate having at least an ink passage formed thereto from a core material and the diffusion preventing layer provided to the surface of the core material. CONSTITUTION:A cover 7 is formed by laminating a SiO2 layer 7b to the surface of a core material 7a comprising glass, a resin or a metal, wherein an ink supply hole 4a is provided at a predetermined position and a recessed part 4b is provided to the part corresponding to an ink supply chamber 3, in order to impact corrosion resistance, ink shielding property and the diffusion preventing effect of a metal ion from the core material 7a by immersing said core material 7a in a silicon dioxide solution before baking. A photosensitive resin 7c is laminated or the core material 7a having the SiO2 layer formed thereto. A mechanical mask 7-d is superposed to the photosensitive resin 7c which is, in turn, removed from the upper part thereof by a liquid dissolving said photosensitive resin 7c to remove the mechanical mask 7-d. This cover lid plate 7 is adhered to the photosensitive resin film 8H provided on a substrate 5 so that the recessed part 4b of the cover lid plate 7 constitutes the upper part of the ink supply chamber 3. |
