PURPOSE:To accurately read the circumferential information of a frame picture with the rays of light of the light source of a photograph printing device without preparing any special light source by providing sensors which detect the circumferential information provided on an original negative film on the surface of the 1st or 2nd mask contacting with the original negative film. CONSTITUTION:The frame section 3a of an upper mask 3 is equipped with sensors 2 for reading bar codes 22 and a rectangular opening section 8 for transmitting light for exposing a frame picture 24 to printing paper. The sensors 2 are constituted with a contact-reading shapes and provided along the two sides of the opening section 9 parallel with the longitudinal direction of a film 20 in the vicinity of the two sides under conditions where the sensors 2 can contact with the circumferential information of the frame picture, such as the bar codes 22, etc. The length of each sensor 2 is set almost equally to the length of one frame of the film 20 and its width is almost equal to the length of the bar codes 22. Moreover, the sensor 2 is constituted with an image sensor, such as CCD, etc., and, in this case, an image sensor having the resolution of about five far codes/mm which is required for reading the circumferential information of the frame picture, such as the bar codes 22, etc., is sufficient for this purpose.
