<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a surface coating agent which has excellent workability, offset inhibiting properties and wear resistance and gives a print of good quality, by dispersing fine silicic anhydride particles having a specified particle size in water. CONSTITUTION:A surface coating agent is obtd. by dispersing 10-40pts.wt. fine silicic anhydride particle having a particle size of 10-50mu in water. When the particle size exceeds 50mu, it is difficult to disperse particles uniformly and stably, while when the particle size is less than 10mu, there is much technical difficulty in producing silicic anhydride, manufacturing cost is increased and no sufficient offset inhibiting performance can be obtd. When the quantity of silicic anhydride is less than 10pts.wt., the viscosity of the coating agent is low and hence the agent is thin-coated, while when the quantity exceeds 40pts.wt., there are problems in coatability and uniformity in the thickness of the coating film and no sufficient effect of preventing offset can be obtd.</p> |
