The wind turbine comprises vane wheels arranged horizontally one above another, which due to curvatures of the rotor blades or angling towards the centre axis are each alternately designed for one of the 2 opposing directions of rotation. The wind power acts regardless of the wind direction simultaneously on the anticlockwise and on the clockwise rotating vane wheels; air masses displaced in the process are respectively fed into the wind duct of the turbine wheel rotating in opposition (top or bottom). At the same time the contra-rotating operation compensates for rotational oscillations and prevents any storm damage. The axial area, scarcely utilisable for wind energy, is designed as an accessible hollow space for transmission, generator, pump, etc. and as access for maintenance work. The rotor blades are fixed by light concrete moulded parts joined together in a ring shape, which at the same time act as stabilising flywheel in the event of irregular loading, wind gusts, etc. Supporting magnets relieve the slide wheels at higher number of revolutions or in the event of consumers not being used to capacity and permit smooth suspension of the individual vane wheels. Current can be supplied through auxiliary generators or solar cells arranged on the roof or on the rotor blades. |
