A target surface, which is provided for use for infrared firing practices, consists of a carrier material in the form of a panel and of an aluminium foil which is laminated onto the one surface of said carrier material and is divided by means of scoring into at least two current-conducting sub-surfaces, which form an electrical resistance network in the manner of a printed circuit.
