<p>A sensor is provided with a housing (10) which exhibits two sections (11, 12) and an intermediate space (14) between these. On one section (11), an elongated optical fibre (13) is flexibly pivoted, the free end of which moves past a receiving element arranged at the opposite section (12) when the optical fibre (13) is deflected. The receiving element is a luminescent body (19), one axis of which extends at least approximately in parallel with the path of movement of the free end of the optical fibre (13) in its immediate vicinity.
