PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform a test by automatically discriminating printed circuit boards having different kinds of electric circuits, by providing a discrimination code to a printed circuit board providing a code discrimination mechanism to a fixture. CONSTITUTION:A limit switch 20 as a discrimination mechanism is arranged at the predetermined position of the under surface 12 of a fixture 1. A code part 51 is provided at the predetermined position of a printed circuit board 5 and a plurality of code holes 51a discriminating the kind of the printed circuit board 5 are provided. When the printed circuit board 5 is placed on an upper surface plate 11 for the purpose of a test, the limit switches 20 having probe needles 20a corresponding to the code holes 51a are turned OFF because of no pressing and the limit switch 20, of which the probe needle 20a is pressed to the printed circuit board 5, is turned ON. A discriminator 4 introduces the signal of the limit switch 20 through a code wire 17a and sends the discriminat ed code to a tester 3 which is, in turn, operated so as to emit the testing pro gram corresponding to the code from the tester 3.
