A description is given of a transition piece (34, 38) for a vent-duct installation for connection to installation elements (33, 35, 36) with different connection cross-sections, in the case of which three connection openings are present, of which one has a first connection cross-section and two have a second connection cross-section, with the result that, there, ducts of different connection cross-section can be combined or branched. Examples of applications are the connection of two venting installations, which come, for example, from a cooker and a washing machine, to a common wall box, or the parallel laying of lengths of duct in order to increase cross-section, for example for adaptation to an increased extraction-fan performance. <IMAGE>
