In the beam path of the video image output by a picture tube (1), a first optical lens (2), a deflection mirror (3), a second optical lens (4) and a semitransparent mirror (5) are arranged. These components, and a circuit arrangement (6) generating control signals, are accommodated in a carrying part (7) which can be worn by the user. Without needing his hands for this purpose, the user can control the brightness of the picture tube (1), the magnification of the video image through the lenses (2, 3) and the position of the semitransparent mirror (5) by voice commands which pass via a microphone into a voice recognition device (11) where they are evaluated. <IMAGE>
