The invention relates to an air-conditioning installation for operating theatres with an incoming-air duct 6 with at least one incoming-air outlet 1, 2 arranged on the ceiling 16 of the operating theatre as well as with an outgoing-air duct 9 which is connected via an outgoing-air line 10 to at least one ceiling outgoing-air grate 11 as well as possibly wall outgoing-air grates 12. In order to air-condition operating theatres in a draught-free manner and to keep the germ level low even without complex expensive ventilating ceilings, there are connected to the incoming-air duct 6 an incoming-air outlet 1, preferably arranged in the centre of the room, with radiating grates 3 for cool incoming air 19 for covering the room cooling load with generation of four mixing air flows 20, preferably directed into the corners of the operating theatre, and an additional incoming-air outlet 2 which is provided with a number of slot rollers 4 for generating a displacement flow 23 directed onto the operating table 24. <IMAGE>
