PURPOSE:To lessen the number of parts, simplify the operation and accurately determine the feed amount of printing paper, by a method wherein the connecting and separating operation of pinch rollers and the on-and-off action of power to a pin feed mechanism are carried out by one operation of operation part and the on-and-off action of power to the pin feed mechanism is carried out by sliding an idle gear. CONSTITUTION:An idle gear 11 is elastically engaged with a driving gear 8 and a pin feed gear 13. In that state, the rotation of motor 17 is transmitted to a platen 3 and a pin feed mechanism 4 and fanfold paper is delivered. Because the idle gear 11 is elastically engaged with the driving gear 8 and the pin feed gear 13 reversing the inclining direction of outer periphery surface thereto, the generation of backlash is prevented. When pinch rollers 19, 20 are let to contact a platen 3 by operation of an operation part 2, an operation transmitter is sequentially operated to separate the idle gear 11 from the driving gear 8 and the pin feed gear 13 and interrupt the power to the pin feed mechanism 4. Therefore, the connecting and separating operation of pinch rollers 19, 20 and the on and off of power to the pin feed mechanism 4 are carried out by one operation. |
