PURPOSE:To prepare efficiently a cell fusion yeast between practical yeasts having difficulty in existing cross breeding of cell fusion and no selective sign, by utilizing existence of a cell fusion yeast in high frequency in a transformant of yeast by protoplast transformation. CONSTITUTION:Cells of two strains of yeast to be fused are made into protoplasts, they are blended, transformed with a plasmid having a selective sign (resistance to antibiotic G418 analogous to kanamycin is usable so for) capable of selecting a transformant of a practical yeast of wild type, embedded in a medium containing a drug, or a medium to which a drug is added later, and a fused hybrid cell between two strains is identified from a grown transformant having drug resistance. |
