PURPOSE:A perfume composition, containing a specific omega-alkenoic acid ester, and having a fragrance and flavor useful as a cosmetic perfume, food perfume, feed perfume or tobacco perfume, particularly fragrance and flavor like those of medlar useful as a food perfume and high safety. CONSTITUTION:A perfume composition containing preferably 0.1-10.0wt%, based on a perfume to be used, omega-alkenoic acid ester expressed by the formula (n is 2, 4, 6 or 8; R is 1-10C alkyl or 2-6C alkenyl). The above-mentioned compound has improved characteristics as a perfume having fruity, winy, particularly medlar and medlar winy flavor and further high safety because of a fruit component, and can be used as a flavoring agent, modifier and improver in a wide range of fields, e.g. food and drink, table luxuries, cosmetics, health and sanitary products, medicines, etc. |
