PURPOSE:To enable drying while a masking jig for painting is mounted and to obtain a high quality paint film, by forming the masking jig from an pressure- sensitive adhesive tape forming a parting line and a releasability controller mixed resin film integrated with said tape. CONSTITUTION:A masking jig 1 for painting has a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape 2 forming a paint parting line and a film part 3 integrally adhered to said tape and covering a non-painting area. The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape 2 is formed, for example, by applying a pressure-sensitive adhesive 4 to the back surface of cotton C being a base material and the film part 3 is formed, for example, as a resin film wherein calcium carbonate D is mixed in a polyethylene film as a releasability control agent. Therefore, even if an article to be painted is heated along with the jig after the non-painting area is covered with the film part to spray a paint and said paint is dried and solidified, the film part 3 can be easily released from the surface of the non-painting area.
