PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a recoil type starter without being interfered even with a large-sized starter handle, by attaching removably the starter handle of said starter. CONSTITUTION:A generally funnel-like stopper carrier 38 is fixed to a take-out port 36 opening to the upper portion of a starter case 34 and a starter rope 32 passes through said carrier 38 to be taken out upward. On the take-out end for the starter rope 32 is mounted a generally reversed conical stopper 40. Next, a generally D-shaped gripping starter handle member 46 is formed with a slit 48 and a conical recess 50. When a recoil type starter 30 is here used, the stopper 40 for the starter rope 32 is manually taken out and inserted from the side face into the slit 48 of said member 46 to be hooked in the recess 50. Also, when said starter 30 is not used, said member 46 is housed in a proper portion of a car body. |
