PURPOSE:To maintain the barrier performance and adhesiveness of an undercoat sufficient and to obtain a superior image by forming the undercoat made of a polyamide resin contg. an alcohol-soluble electrolyte or its complex salt between a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The conductive substrate is coated with a mixture of an alcohol soln. of an alcohol-soluble electrolyte, such as halide of Al, Ca, or Zn, or its complex salt, and an alcohol soln. of an alcohol-soluble polyamide type resin, such as N-hydroxymethylated nylon, and dried at about 100 deg.C for about 10min to form the undercoat. The photosensitive layer is formed on this undercoat, thus permitting resistance of the undercoat to be lowered even under low temp. and low humidity by adding the specified electrolyte, both potentials in the dark and in the light to be stabilized, and a superior image to be formed without causing peeling of the photosensitive layer from the support. |
