AIR BLOWING APPARATUS FOR A RAILWAY SWITCH-RAIL SECTION An air blowing apparatus for a switch-rail section of a railway track. The apparatus comprises a vertical tubular blower chamber having mounted therein at least one axial fan. The tubular chamber has an air intake port with a protective cap positioned thereover. An elongated air convection duct is connected to an outlet of the blower chamber. The duct defines a crossrail straight section. A pair of air nozzles are provided in the straight duct section and disposed to direct an air stream longitudinally of a respective switch-rail section to deflect snow therealong. |
