PURPOSE:A composition of high-polymer solution that is prepared by adding a solvent containing butyl butyrate to a system containing nitrocellulose and castor oil, thus giving an ultrathin film of uniform thickness, when the solution is extended on a water surface. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition contains nitrocellulose, as a polymer component, castor oil as a plasticizer and a solvent containing butyl butyrate. The solvent is adjusted in boiling point and the specific gravity, as a mixed system, to higher than 100 deg.C, preferably higher than 110 deg.C and less than 1.0, preferably less than 0.9, respectively. the concentration of the nitrocellulose is set to 5-10wt% and castor oil and butyl butyrate are added in an amount of 10-30pts.wt. and 100-200pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of nitrocellulose, respectively.
