PURPOSE:To achieve cutting of paper in a desired width and releasing and ejecting of the same at a desired position by rotating a drum to wind the paper therearound, protruding a cutting edge out of a peripheral slot to cut the paper and releasing seizing action with respect to the paper at a desired position. CONSTITUTION:When paper 1 is inserted along a guide plate 3 and set in abutment against a seizing member 4 incorporated in a drum 2, plungers of a clamp magnet 5 are extended to tightly press the paper against the peripheral surface of the drum 2. Then, the drum 2 is rotated and predetermined printing is executed on the paper by a print head, and the paper 1 is rotated along with the drum 2, and when the leading end of the paper advances in the vicinity of a cutter member 7, a cutter magnet 8 is energized to protrude the cutting edge of the cutter member 7 out of a corresponding slot 10 of the drum 2, so that, as the drum 2 is rotated, the paper 1 is vertically cut. Then, when the seizing member 4 is released at a desired position, a plurality of cut sheets of paper are received and stacked in desired stackers 11a, 11b.
