The system comprises a synchro generator having primary and secondary windings, one of which is capable of being coupled to the body. Circuitry provides exciting current to the primary windings. A reference signal generator provides a reference signal of a predetermined frequency. Pulses are produced at a frequency which changes depending on the phase difference between the reference signal and the signal induced in the secondary winding. A frequency- divider counts the pulses and produces a first digital signal indicative of the count value at each moment.
