PURPOSE:To decrease a manufacturing cost by providing with a pair of rotating pressure rollers and by adding pressure to a separator of a prescribed length to reduce the diameter, and by extending by an unit dimension to the axial direction. CONSTITUTION:A separator 1 having a prescribed length is provided with screw shaft parts 3a, 3b for joint and small diameter parts 4a, 4b. A pair of rotating rollers 7a, 7b with the shaft centers parallel to the separator 1 are arranged, and the roller 7a is situated at a fixed position, while the roller 7b is made free to move against the roller 7a. A prescribed position of the separator 1 is supported through a pedestal 10, and by driving the rollers 7a, 7b to the same direction, the roller 7b is moved to the roller 7a side. In this instance, by the formation of a reduction working part 8 the separator 1 is extended by an unit dimension. With this process, the separator 1 of the prescribed length is obtained, so that the manufacturing cost is decreased.
