PURPOSE:To securely remove a gate flash from a molded article in the condition wherein the cut surface is clean, by a method wherein a gate flash is once bent upwards in the condition wherein a main body of the molded article is gripped, and then the flash is removed by bending it in the reverse direction, namely downwards. CONSTITUTION:The molded article 5d is transferred to a predetermined position on a rail 33 by a chucking device 31 and is fixed there. In this case, a bottom part of a supply-part flash 13 connected to a crust 15 of the molded resin by the gate flash 14 collides against a supporting plate 41 so that the gate flash 14 is bent upwards by an angle alpha. Then, a dropping plate 42 fixed to an oscillating lever 43 is rotated counterclockwise with a pivot shaft 44 as a center, and depresses the upper surface of the supply-part flash 13 to break the connecting part between the crust 15 and the gate flash 14. Accordingly, the gate flash can be securely removed from the molded article in the condition wherein the cut surface is clean. |
