An electrophotographic light-sensitive material comprising a charge transporting compound and a styryl dye represented by formula (I) <IMAGE> (I) wherein A represents N-R8, O, S, Se, or <IMAGE> R1 and R2 each represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent having a Hammett's substituent constant, delta , of 0.2 or more; R3, R6, R7, R8, R9, and R10 each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or a substituted alkyl group containing from 1 to 5 carbon atoms in the alkyl moiety; R4 and R5 each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a substituted alkyl group, an aryl group, or a substituted aryl group; X(-) represents an anion; and n represents an integer of 1 or 2.
