PURPOSE:To remove bittern component and acid component extremely easily from a citrus fruit juice, and to obtain fruit juice having high commercial value, by placing a bittern-removing column packed with a synthetic adsorption resin and an acid-reducing column packed with an ion-exchange resin in series. CONSTITUTION:The raw fruit juice stored in the storage tank 1 is transferred through the filter 3 to the bittern-removing column 4 by the pump 2, and the bittern component is removed by the synthetic adsorption resin 5 filled in the column. The rate of removal can be controlled arbitrarily by the passing rate of the liquid and the amount of the resin packed in the column. The fruit juice containing properly decreased bittern components is stored temporarily in the intermediate tank 20 and sent to the acid-reducing column 23 to effect the reduction of acid content by an anion exchange resin. The rate of removal of the acid component can be controlled arbitrarily by the passing rate of the liquid and the amount of the resin packed in the column. The fruit juice containing properly decreased bittern component and acid component is treated with the cyclone 27 to separate and remove solid component, passed through the filter 28 to remove the remaining solid component and taken out of the apparatus as the final product. |
