PURPOSE:To perform speech recording at proper timing relative to photographing operation by setting the start of constant speech recording on one track of a magnetic disk optionally before or after shutter release operation. CONSTITUTION:When a shutter is released by photographer, a sequence control part 10 detects the shutter release operation, outputs an ON/OFF control signal 18 and an R/W control signal 19 to stop the writing of an RAM 3 and the converting operation of an A/D converting part 2, and data written in the RAM 3 at this time is held. When an image recording end signal 27 is obtained, a readout clock 22 is outputted to an address generating counter 7, which while starting counting, starts reading the speech data recorded and held in the RAM 3. At this time, the readout clock of the RAM 3 is a high-speed clock enough to read the speech digital data which is written in the RAM 3 in 10 seconds at a speed of 1/60 second.
