<p>The present invention provides a method of producing pressed products of hops or, where appropriate, pulverized hops, the said hops being de-aerated and further treated in any event while adding hop-inert gases, such as nitrogen or carbon dioxide, in order to retain the constituents valuable in terms of brewing, characterized in that the oxygen-containing air is removed at least partially from the hops before pressing and where necessary is replaced by supplying the hop-inert gas at a pressure of up to 1 bar which may be selected in order to attain different strengths of the pressed products.</p> |
