PURPOSE:To enable the changing of the temperature of a pyroelectric element stably at a fixed rate with a simple construction, by applying a voltage proportional to the signal obtained by the integration of the output of the pyroelectric element to a heater provided on the pyroelectric element. CONSTITUTION:For example, an NiCr alloy is accumulated on the surface of a pyroelectric element 1 made of a sheet of a pyroelectric material such LiTaO3 to form a heater 2. Then, an integrator 4 which integrates the differential voltage between the output of a current-voltage converter 3 for converting the current output of the pyroelectric element 1 into a voltage signal and the voltage signal applied to a terminal 5 is connected to the heater 2 through an open arithmetic unit 7. Thus, when the pyroelectric current is large, the increase in the output of the integrator 4 to be applied to the heater 2 is suppressed while when the pyroelectric current is small, the increase in the output of the integrator 4 is enhanced to keep the pyroelectric current constant and as a result, the temperature of the pyroelectric element 1 can rise at a fixed rate. |
