PURPOSE:To record effectively image data in a recording device and to reduce the size of the recording device by making the amount of image information stored in a recording means different. CONSTITUTION:An image is imprinted on a photosensitive film 19 while recorded in an image sensor 26, and the state of the imprinted image can be confirmed on a liquid crystal display device 14 before the film is printed. When, however, the same subject is photographed on the film 19, the image needs not be recorded by the image sensor 26 specially and the need to provide the liquid crystal display device 14 with dots as many as all picture elements of one image surface is eliminated. Therefore, an image data storage part 40 is allowed to make a selection between fine imprinting and rough imprinting. Namely, when image data is displayed and confirmed before the film is printed, the rough printing is selected and when a failure in imprinting is not allowed the fine imprinting is selected.
