PURPOSE:To enable clear display of a spot waveform, by imparting variable and infinite endurability to a signal waveform. CONSTITUTION:An input signal sampled is converted into a digital numeral to be stored into a high-speed memory 30. The data collection cycle ends when the predetermined number of waveform points is obtained. Upon the end of the data collection, a microprocessor 50 read the digital numeral from the memory 30 to process. After the selection of the infinite endurability mode, the digital numeral is converted with the processor 50 into a dot position on a display 70 and following the processing of the dot, the processor 50 starts another collection cycle to store the subsequent one set of dots into the memory 30. This operation is repeated until the order of stopping the processing is given and thus, all dots collected are shown on a display 70 during to collection period to form a clear waveform. In the variable endurability mode, the ceaseless updating of the screen can be done by a new waveform in a dynamic or changing fashion.
