PURPOSE:To enable to compensate or adjust the coma aberration in the up and down direction of a screen and the trilemma of the contents of misconvergence, by converting the effective axial magnetic field length of the compensating magnetic field formed by both sides magnetic bodies, and that of the compensating magnetic field formed by the central magnetic body. CONSTITUTION:In the vertical deflection case, the unit is connected in series to the main vertical deflecting coil so that a vertical deflecting current flows in the direction 24 as shown in the figure. And, a pin cushion shape compensating magnetic field 43 is generated in the direction of the main vertical deflecting magnetic field 41 in the neck portion by the both end magnetic bodies 22A and 22B of the E shaped magnetic bodies 21A and 21B, while a barrel form compensating magnetic field 45 is generated in the reverse direction to that of the main vertical deflecting magnetic field 41 by the central magnetic bodies 23A and 23B. Therefore, the coma aberration in the up and down direction of the screen can be compensated by adding a simple device to the deflecting yoke without changing the trilemma amount determined primarily from the composing condition of the deflecting yoke.
