PURPOSE:To dissolve a drift of an optical axis core shift of an optical ferrule, and to reduce an abrasion of the tip part of a large diameter ferrule by providing a notch part in the direction vertical to a slot, centering around a position where a pair of ferrules of a cylinder are opposed and contact to each other. CONSTITUTION:When a large diameter ferrule 4 of a radius R4 is pressed into the first sleeve part 11, the first sleeve part 11 is spread out and a point Q1 and a point P1 are displaced to a point Q4 and a point P4, respectively. Also, a stress corresponding to this displacement quantity works as a spring pressure for clamping and holding the ferrule 4. In this case, the ferrule 4 is pressed in extending over the overall length of the first sleeve 11 which is independent, therefore, a conical deformation of the sleeve caused by the press-in is not generated, and it can be made to contact and supported equally extending over the whole area of the press-in length of the ferrule 4 by three points of a pair of points P4 which have placed a slot 11a between them, and a bottom point P. When a small diameter ferrule 7 of a radius R7 is pressed into the second sleeve part 12, the second sleeve part 12 is spread out and a point Q2 and a point P2 are displaced to a point Q7 and a point P7, respectively. It is made to contact and supported equally by three points of a pair of points P7 which have placed a slot 12a between them, and the bottom point P. |
