PURPOSE:To prevent the phenomenon of lifting, the deformation of metallic net as well as its breakage for a period ranging from a high combustion to a low combustion and enable a wide range of adjustment of combustion by a method wherein a net having biased flame holes therein is closely attached to a cylindrical burner head having a plurality of slit-like flame holes at its side surface which is elongated in its vertical directions and of which width is less than a specified value (3mm). CONSTITUTION:Since a flame A during a high combustion is formed relatively distant from the surface of a metallic net 6 having several flame holes therein, the metallic net 6 is hardly red heated. In turn, during a low combustion since an injecting speed of premixture gas is delayed, both flame A and auxiliary flame B are ignited at the surface of the metallic net 6. Owing to this fact, although a lifting phenomenon is not generated, temperatures of the metallic net 6 and the flame holes 5 and the like is liable to increase. In case that the metallic net 6 is closely attached to the burner head 4, the flame holes 5 are of longitudinal slits and their widths are less than 3mm, a heat from the metallic net 6 may easily be transmit ted to the burner head, the heat is hard to be accumulated at the central portions of the flame holes 5, and a cooling action caused by a secondary air between the flame holes 5 causes the temperature of the metallic net 6 to be decreased and then its deformation and breakage can be eliminated.
