PURPOSE:To enhance transfer speed by forming at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and incorporating a specified compd. in at least one emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The color photographic sensitive material uses an azo dye image forming compd. represented by the formula shown on the right in which M is a group characterizing this compd. and located at the dye moiety, and it is an alkyl or substd. alkyl, preferably, having 1-8C in the alkyl part, or a halogen group, preferably, Cl. As this compd., negative type nondiffusive image forming substances, such as compds. to be oxidized by development processing with an alkaline processing soln. or heat treatment to cause self- cleavage reaction and to release a diffusive dye, are enumerated, thus permitting transfer speed to be enhanced, light fastness and the hue of a dye image to be improved and the hue to be lessened in its dependency on pH.
