PURPOSE:To increase the degree of freedom of a working-station setting position by enabling a pallet receiving bed to stop at a working station which is different from plural working stations, between the terminal point of one transfer route and the starting point of the other transfer route. CONSTITUTION:A workpiece W is placed on a pallet 2 in a working stations S1 of a transfer route 11 and transferred in the direction of the arrow 1a and, when reached the following working station S2, the pallet 2 is stopped to give a certain work. And, a similar procedure is repeated in order. When arriving at the terminal point 11b, the pallet 2 is fed to a pallet translocating device 3, which is stopped when arriving at a working station Sm by the rotation of a rotary shaft 5 and, after a certain work is completed, it is further rotated to feed the pallet 2 to the starting point 12a of a transfer route 12. A similar procedure is also repeated on this transfer route 12, and the workpiece W is carried out of the pallet 2 at a working station Sn. Thereby, an installation space can be effectively used.
