PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide emulsion layer not desensitized and spectrally sensitized by incorporating the combination of 2 kinds of specified sensitizing dyes in at least one of the silver halide emulsion layers, and adding a specified coupler to said sensitized layer or its adjacent layer. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide emulsion layer contains silver halide grains sensitized with the combination of at least one of the sensitizing dyes represented by formula [A] and at least one of the sensitizing dyes represented by formula [B], and the coupler of formula [I] (Z is a nonmetallic atomic group necessary to form an N-contg. hetero ring) is added to said sensitized layer or its adjacent layer, and this layer may be a green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, or a nonphotosensitive hydrophilic colloidal layer called an interlayer or isolating layer, thus permitting the obtained green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer to be not deteriorated by using it in combination with a magenta coupler and to have high sensitivity. |
