PURPOSE:To form an image fiber into non-metallic construction by providing directly or indirectly an inside protective layer consisting of a thermoplastic resin in place of a metallic flexible pipe onto the primary coat of the image fiber. CONSTITUTION:The image fiber 1 is prepd. by a multi method consisting in heating, melting and spinning quartz fiber strand bundles consisting of core parts and clads. The primary coat 2 is provided on the image fiber 1. The primary coat 2 is formed of urethane acrylate curable by UV rays and is provided at 300mum wall thickness. The inside protective layer 3 is provided on the primary coat 2. The inside protective layer 3 is formed of the olefinic thermoplastic resin. The need for using the metallic flexible pipe is thus eliminated in the case of providing the inside protective layer 3 on the primary coat 2 in the above-mentioned manner and the image fiber is made into the non-metallic construction while the flexural characteristic thereof is maintained.
