A fungicide or plant growth regulating composition which contains certain triazole compounds or acid addition salts or metallic complexes thereof as active ingredients, with a carrier or diluter therefore.Triazole compounds have the general formula:in which R<1> is an alkyl-group, containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl, containing 3 to 6 carbon atoms, or phenyl freely substituted with halogen, alkyl groups containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms, alkoxy groups containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, halo-C1-4-alkyl, halo-C1-4-alkoxy, halo-C1-5-alkoxy, halo-C1-5-alkyl, nitre, phenyl, phenoxy, benzyl, freely halo-substituted benzyloxy, alkylenedioxy, haloalkylenedioxy, amino, mono- or di-C1-4-alkylamino, hydroxy, morpholino, or carboxy or an alkylester thereof, and/or the alkyl part of benzyl freely substituted with C1-4-alkyl, R<2> is phenyl or benzyl, freely substituted with halogen, alkyl groups containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms, alkoxy groups containing 1 to 5 carbon atoms, halo-C1-4-alkyl, halo-C1-4-alkoxy, halo-C1-5-alkoxy, halo-C1-5-alkyl, nitre, phenyl, phenoxy, benzyl, freely substituted benzyloxy, alkylenedioxy, haloalkylenedioxy, amino, mono- or di-C1-4-akylamino, hydroxy, morpholino or carboxy or an alkylester thereof, and/or the alkyl part of benzyl freely substituted with C1-4-alkyl, under the condition that when R<1> is freely substituted with phenyl, R<2> is not phenyl- or cycloalkyl substituted phenyl.
