PURPOSE:To make possible sure sealing by sealing a functional high-polymer material and electrolyte through an injection hole of a sealing part, forming the functional high-polymer film on the surface of one electrode by electrolysis and discharging the injected liquid then injecting an electrolyte in which the functional high-polymer film is not dissolved. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes 2, 5 are formed on the inside surfaces of glass substrates 1, 4 and low melting glass is printed as the sealing part 6 and is heated to adhere two sheets of the glass substrates 1, 4. The functional high- polymer material and electrolyte are injected through the injection hole 8 in the sealing part 6 and is electrolyzed to deposit the functional high molecules on the surface of the electrode 2. Otherwise, the functional high-polymer film 3 is formed by the electrolytic polymn. of a monomer on the electrode 2. The injected liquid is discharged and the electrolyte 7 in which the film 3 is not dissolved is injected through the hole 8. The hole 8 is sealed with a silicone resin 9 forced therein and is further sealed by solder 10 from the outside. A tetrathiafluvalene coating film or the like is used as the functional high-polymer molecules. The film colors or dies away in color or discolors and can act as the display element when a bias is applied between the electrodes 2 and 5. |
